Stansted Express Train Times
Our train times will be updated with the revised timetable around 2-3 days before the strike disruption. Check the dates and read our travel advice.

At Stansted Express, we want to provide you with all of the necessary information you need to make your journey as simple as possible. Our live train times tool is designed to make finding train times faster and easier.
Our online tool allows you to:
- Search times for your desired journey
- View real-time journey information, such as when the train will leave the station
- Check which trains are running on time
- See if there’s any disruption on the line
If you need to buy your train ticket, it couldn’t be easier. We'll even provide you with the cheapest options if they're available.
Remember: If you book in advance, you can pay just £9.70 for a one-way ticket.
First train times can change, however currently the first train leaving Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport is 04:10am Friday to Monday and 04:40am Tuesday to Thursday. The first train leaving Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street is 05:30am Friday to Monday and 06:00am Tuesday to Thursday.
These times are subject to change, to search for the first train of the day, select a time early in the morning in our Train Times Journey Planner and hit ‘View Train Times’, and use the earlier or later toggles to scroll through to find the first train of the day for your selected route.
Last train times can change, however, currently the last train leaving Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport is 23.25 and the last train leaving Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street is 00:30pm.
These times are subject to change, to search for the last train of the day, select a time late in the evening in our Train Times Journey Planner and hit ‘View Train Times’, and use the earlier or later toggles to scroll through to find the last train of the day for your selected route.
To check if your train is on time, head over to our Live Departures page. It will have a status update to say whether the train will be on time. Alternatively, click ‘check times’ on our homepage and enter your origin and destination stations then click "view train times". This will show you a little animation that will say ‘on time’ beneath the journey information.
To check which platform your train leaves from, click ‘check times’ on our homepage and enter your origin and destination stations then hit "view train times". The platform number should be displayed directly underneath the train’s departure station.
If your train is cancelled, you will be able to take the next service to your destination. All Stansted Express tickets are flexible – you can catch any train on the outbound travel date booked.
If your train is cancelled and no other services are running, you’ll generally be entitled to a refund.
