Rail Replacement Bus – weekends in June to August

Essential engineering work is taking place on a section of the railway line between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street which will affect some weekends between June to August.

If you're travelling with us during this period, please allow for additional time for your journey and consider other alternative transport options such as coach and taxi. Customers with access to a car, may also wish to consider the many car parking options provided at Stansted Airport. View alternative travel options.

Please note that full size bikes, scooters and e-scooters cannot be taken on rail replacement buses.

The journey between London to Stansted Airport will take longer than normal as you'll need to use the train and bus. This can take 1 hour and 30 minutes.

London Liverpool Street to Waltham Cross station on the train takes 24 minutes and the onward coach to Stansted Airport takes 55 mins.

The same as the usual train service, every 30 minutes.

Saturdays and Sundays at 22 and 52 minutes past every hour. This is up to and including Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th May. Please check back if you’re travelling over a weekend at a later date.

First train from London Liverpool Street on Saturdays and Sundays is at 03:40, 04:10, 05:07 changing at Waltham Cross/Broxbourne for onward replacement coach to Stansted Airport.

The coach leg of the 3:40 train is planned to arrive at Stansted Airport at 05:05.

On Saturdays and Sundays the last coach departs at 00:30.
