How to Travel to/from Tottenham Hale
If you have a Stansted Express ticket for travel between Tottenham Hale and Stansted Airport, you can use your ticket for the journey shown in our online train times tool.

Alternatively, your ticket will be accepted for travel at Seven Sisters station which is quicker. Check times on the Greater Anglia website.

You'll need to make your own way to/from Seven Sisters station, which can be done through the London Underground.

Boarding: Due to short platforms at Seven Sisters, please avoid boarding the rear three carriages as the doors will not open.
Increased Crowds: Seven Sisters station may be busier than usual, and a queuing system might be in place. Please allow extra time for your journey.
Service Frequency: Trains from Seven Sisters will run every approximately every 15 minutes during the day.

Sunday 28 July: Extended journey times & trains will stop at Seven Sisters instead of Tottenham Hale in the early morning and night.

Due to maintenance:

Until the 07:30 train from Stansted Airport and 08:11 train from London Liverpool Street - we will be stopping at Seven Sisters instead of Tottenham Hale, extending journey times by several minutes as a result.
The first train Tottenham Hale to Stansted Airport service is at 08.30 and the first from Stansted Airport to Tottenham Hale is at 07.45.
From 08:20 - journey times will be extended by up to ten minutes and trains depart London Liverpool Street by up to ten minutes earlier than normal.
23:30 and 23:45 trains from Stansted Airport - will stop at Seven Sisters instead of Tottenham Hale, extending journey times by several minutes as a result.

4 Aug: Extended journey times

Due to maintenance work, journey times will be extended by up to ten minutes and trains depart London Liverpool Street by up to ten minutes earlier than normal.

5 - 8 Aug: Late evening diversion to 2330 and 2345 Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street trains.

Due to planned maintenance between Cheshunt and Seven Sisters stations, on the evenings of Monday 5th August to Thursday 8th August, the 2330 and 2345 Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street trains will no longer stop at Seven Sisters Station, instead these trains will be diverted to stop at Tottenham Hale Station.

17 Aug : Train services diverted via Seven Sisters

Due to planned maintenance between Tottenham Hale and Liverpool Street stations, on Saturday 17th August, services between Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport will no longer stop at Tottenham Hale Station, instead trains will be diverted to stop at Seven Sisters Station.

18 Aug: Extended journey times due to all day route diversion of trains.

Due to maintenance work between London Liverpool Street and Tottenham Hale, on Sunday 18th August, trains will be diverted via an alternative route to normal. As a result, journey times will be extended between Liverpool Street and Tottenham Hale.

1 Sept: Rail Replacement coaches to operate between Broxbourne and Stansted Airport until 0900

Due to maintenance work between Broxbourne and Stansted Airport on Sunday 1st September 2024 until 0900, trains will operate between London Liverpool Street and Broxbourne. We'll have coaches to fulfil the rest of the journey between Broxbourne and Stansted Airport until approximately 0900.
The first Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport train will depart Liverpool Street at 0830. The first Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street train will depart at 0925.

6 Oct: No trains between Tottenham Hale and Stratford

20 Oct: Severe disruption - avoid travelling with Stansted Express

Due to engineering works, there will be no direct train service between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street on Sunday 20th October.

Travel options

Please use alternative transport (e.g. car, coach or taxi) to Stansted Airport.
If you need to travel by rail, Stansted Express tickets will be accepted for London Kings Cross to Cambridge, and Cambridge to Stansted Airport. The journey time is approximately 2 hours.
A restricted replacement bus (which is likely to be one bus with limited capacity) will operate between Stansted Airport and Waltham Cross. From Waltham Cross there will be 2 trains an hour with limited capacity.

27 Oct: Extended journey times due route diversion of trains until 0950

Due to maintenance work between London Liverpool Street and Tottenham Hale, on Sunday 27th October, trains will be diverted via an alternative route to normal until 0950. As a result, journey times will be extended between Liverpool Street and Tottenham Hale.
