Ticket Validity & Conditions

Tickets booked online:

E-tickets (print at home) are sent to your email address on completion of the online purchase.

For m-tickets, a text message is sent to your mobile phone on completion of your online purchase. Internet access is required on your phone in order to be able to download your m-ticket. A copy of your ticket, as an e-ticket, will also be attached to the confirmation email sent to you on completion of your booking. If you wish you may print this out and present it at the station or on the train instead of the SMS (m-ticket) version.

Please allow 2 hours from time of booking to the time of your travel for both e-tickets and m-tickets.

Standard, Business Plus and First Class Single

For e-tickets (print at home) and m-tickets, single tickets are valid for one journey on the outbound travel date booked.

Standard, Business Plus and First Class Return

For e-tickets (print at home) and m-tickets, the outbound journey must be made on the outbound travel date booked. The return journey must be made within one month of the outbound travel date.

Please note that Oyster and Contactless payment cards are not valid to tap in for travel to/from Stansted Airport.
