Unfortunately a person was hit by a train earlier between Bishops Stortford and Broxbourne. Network Rail and the emergency services have now reopened the line.

The line has now reopened. Network Rail and emergency services have finished with the incident. Currently services to Hertford East/Stansted Airport/Cambridge are disrupted, and will be subject to short notice cancellations, alterations and delays whilst the service recovers.

  1. From London Liverpool Street, travel on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines to Kings Cross St Pancras
  2. Change for Great Northern services from London Kings Cross to Cambridge
  3. Change at Cambridge for the first available train to Stansted Airport

  1. From Stansted Airport, travel on the first available train to Cambridge
  2. Change at Cambridge for Great Northern trains to London Kings Cross

Due to planned maintenance works, on the evenings of Monday 18th to Thursday 21st August 2025, the 2330 and 2345 Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street trains will no longer stop at Seven Sisters Station, instead these trains will be diverted to stop at Tottenham Hale Station.
Please check train times and allow additional time for your journey.
Please do not 'tap in' using Contactless or Oyster payment at the London or Stansted Airport station ticket gates. You will be liable for a £100 Penalty Fare plus the full single fare for your journey, as the Stansted Express goes beyond the Contactless/Oyster zone.
