Services disrupted due to overnight storms.

Tuesday 24 December 2013

On Monday 23 December the weather forecast indicated that a storm with winds of up to 70mph would affect our network from around 18:00 and throughout the night. Network Rail and our staff have been working through the night to assess and repair any damage to the infrastructure. Thanks to their efforts we are now able to start running limited services.

The Stansted Express route is now open and train services are being re-instated, however only a limited train service is currently in operation.

Customers are strongly advised to check their journey prior to travelling, and leave extra time to complete their journeys. Updates will be available throughout the day at: www.greateranglia.co.uk

Customers can also stay up to date with the latest news by following us on Twitter @Stansted_exp or calling National Rail Enquiries on 08457 484950.
