Stansted Express hosts ‘Polish Day’ to celebrate new Polish website

Acclaimed Polish folk dance troupe ‘Tatry’ will perform at London Liverpool Street station on Friday (4 November) as part of a day of celebrations to launch the Stansted Express’ new Polish website.

With a repertoire of both national and regional songs and dances, Tatry have appeared on television, including the BBC, and danced at many venues throughout the UK, such as the famous Royal Albert Hall, the Wembley Conference Centre and at numerous festivals. Great importance is attached to maintaining the authenticity of the intricate steps of traditional Polish dances and to the detail of the folk costumes.

The dance, which will take place on the main concourse of London Liverpool Street train station, next to the Stansted Express Customer Service Desk at 11.30am, and will be followed by a one-off Twitter chat in Polish hosted by Polish speaking Marketing Manager, Ela Hawran-Beaumont, joined by members of Tatry, from 2.30pm.

The Stansted Express website at was already available in five different languages (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish), but with an ever increasing number of Polish customers choosing to use Stansted Express to travel to and from London Stansted Airport, the site has now also been translated into Polish.

Using visitors to the UK can book their train tickets for transfers to central London as well as accommodation and theatre tickets up to six months in advance, offering the chance to plan ahead and enjoy a seamless travel booking service.
